A Gardeners Friend: The Frog Rain Gauge

Spending time in the great outdoors is something that most everyone enjoys to some degree. Of course some prefer to lounge on a garden or porch swing while others want to go kayaking or rock climbing, but being out in the fresh air is an important part of any number of activities.

Obviously there are many things that can only be done in the correct weather conditions. When it rains it is much less pleasant to spend time outside doing many activities. Still, anyone who loves the outdoors appreciates the beauty of the rain.

For gardeners ,they spend quiet alot of time watering their garden. A regular rainfall makes gardening easier and some might say plants happier. Gardeners love to see mother nature care for their plants by means of regular rainfall.

For gardeners being aware of how much rain has fallen in your garden is important as it gives an accurate guide to how much water you must do on your own. For many others it is just interesting to keep track of out of curiosity or even hobby. For people like this, having a rain gauge in the garden is a must!

There are so many types of rain gauges available to you. You can choose the fancy, digital types that wirelessly relay information to a screen within your home, or you can opt for a decorative rain gauge. The second option is much more the choice of gardeners, rather than weather enthusiasts, who might prefer the technology and accuracy of the electronic model.

A popular type of rain gauge is the frog rain gauge. This is a great addition to any garden. A cute frog sits upon the ground with his mouth open. In his mouth is the rain gauge tube. This decorative rain gauge is so much cuter than having your gauge sitting on a boring metal stand!

Many people likje to have decorative frogs or other animals in their garden just for fun and decoraton, so combining that with a useful function is a great idea! Some frog rain gauges are on stands as well, but the general idea is the same. Other decorative rain gauges include those decorated with butterflies, or a leaf pattern.

The whole idea is to have a holder for the gauge that will add and maximise the beauty to your garden. The rain gauge itself is removable and can be replaced. As a matter of fact, most glass rain gauges have to be replaced quite often because children, animals, or YOU remove them and accidentally drop them. This is one reason why some choose to have the rain gauge plastic, rather than glass.

Just because your rain gauge is serving an important function there's no reason it has to look purely functional! Choose a frog rain gauge or other decorative one to provide beauty as well as functionality to your garden!
