A Scientific Rain Gauge, Not Only For Scientists

For thousands of years many people have been keeping track of the weather and all its elements and looking for changes in patterns. As long as we have been eating food from the earth we have been interested in rainfall. This means, well, pretty much since the beginning of man. Of course the means of measuring rainfall and keeping track of it have greatly improved over time until today when we have the very advanced scientific rain gauge to provide information.

There are various rain gauges used to measure the level of rainfall. In their gardens many people use a simple cylinder or graduated tube to catch the rain and then read the measurement of the water level.
